Certified Business & Professional Coaching Program
Open-Enrollment Offered at Various Locations Including NC State University
About This Training:
The Business and Professional Coaching Certificate Program is an ICF Approved Coach Training Program (ACTP), providing 142 hours of comprehensive coach training for those who are serious about coaching as a professional. This unique program provides you with a cohort experience in the art, practice, and business of coaching. Your certification will prepare you for the ICF Credentials of ACC and/or PCC.
The signature program is offered over the course of ten months, meeting one weekend each month. In the past this was strictly an in-person offering, however, we are now offering this program virtually. The program is offered annually in the Fall, starting in October. A cohort is offered in the spring when minimum enrollment is met.

The program has a powerful training structure that ensures the transfer of skills from the classroom to the workplace. The course is organized in block weekend meetings spread over a 10 month period, a total of 21 days altogether. Program is currently offered in English, in a hybrid format (virtual, with optional in-person beginning and close sessions).
This is an in-person, very practical and highly interactive program. Participants study the theory and techniques of coaching. They practice coaching skills in the monthly workshops. They are matched with experienced mentor coaches. They start their own coaching practice with outside clients early in the program. Their work with clients is supervised by the program faculty.
These layered elements of training, theory, skills practice, an outside coaching practice, supervision of that practice, and support from a mentor coach ensure the progressive development of coaching knowledge and skill.
